The Evaluation Engine is an in-house enterprise solution for The Coca-Cola Company intended to eliminate Excel-based evaluation across the company while developing a shared knowledge base to inform collaborative decision-making. Using cloud hosting, the application streamlines the process of creating templates and requesting contributor responses. Most importantly, The Evaluation Engine provides visual renderings of complex evaluative information in a striking yet simple interactive format. 

 

Joining The Evaluation Engine's agile development team in May of 2016, I was responsible for the wireframing, prototyping, user experience architecture and user interface architecture of the application's dashboard, in-app notification system, email architecture, and auto-save system. Additionally, I contributed to the graphic design behind elements in the template creation, visual result rendering, result comparison design, and iconography of the application. Moreover, I conducted user experience tests and used the collected information to streamline the application from the user perspective and develop the information architecture behind the help center.

After building The Evaluation Engine from the ground up, the application was leveraged by The Coca-Cola Company's Digitize the Enterprise initiative and rolled out to over 700,000 employees globally across every region, bottler, and business unit associated with The Coca-Cola Company. 

 

The primary design obstacles to building The Evaluation Engine were: 

• Simplifying complex algorithmic data into a visually appealing, intuitive, and meaningful format. 

• Preserving the information security of every party involved while maintaining data transparency. 

• Creating agile design and development sprints to maximize progress under the time-zone constraints of an international team.
